School Trips

Self ORGANISED School trips

Self organised group visits of all ages are welcome to visit Black Park and Denham Country Park; however all are required to book their visit via our eventbrite booking form to ensure a safe visit.

Country Parks School Trips

We run a range of exciting school trips led by trained Forest School practitioners. Our trips take place in a private area of woodland called Black Pines Camp.

***Due to high demand we are currently only taking bookings for the remainder of our school trip week, Monday 15th July - Friday 19th July and for after the Summer holidays***

Not only is outdoor learning great for physical and mental health, but it’s also great fun!  Children will get to engage with the planet and explore nature, whilst working towards improved language and communication skills, increased self-esteem and confidence, increased motivation, resilience and greater concentration. They’ll also learn some outdoor specific skills along the way!

Please email enquiries to: countryparks@buckinghamshire.gov.uk before booking to request more information and to check availability and quotes. We charge £6.50 per student per session.

What’s included when booking with us?

  • Up to 10 complimentary parking passes (for attending staff)
  • Free hire of a private picnic area
  • Custom built schedule by our team
  • Lots of fun!

If you’re bringing more than one class (30+ students) we recommend making a day of it. We can provide two staffed sessions across a day whilst one group works with us, the other group can explore the park, take part in the orienteering trail, do wildlife bingo, do litter picking or spend time in the play area. We also have a fantastic Go Ape course in the park click here for more information.

Please note the fire option is only available October – May and due to a change in food safety legislation we are not allowed to provide marshmallows for toasting to under 5’s.

Reviews

''The Stoke Poges School's Reception Class have enjoyed visiting Black Park for Forest School activities on three occasions. The day has included den building, mini-beast hunting and exploring in the mud kitchen. All of the Forest School activities were led by a knowledgeable and engaging team. We also incorporated transient art, a bug hunt and play in the park, alongside a picnic and ice-lolly. The children had the most amazing day learning and exploring the outdoors, a perfect way to end the school year.''The Stoke Poges School

''Our Trip to Black Park has been very rewarding, enjoyable for the children. Colleagues and management are all friendly, approachable and supportive. Forest School has helped children to develop their confidence and become familiar with nature. Forest school environment enabled children to observe the creation in the outdoor environment. They were able to reflect upon the seasonal changes and how there is a purpose behind every change.'' Islamic Shakhsiyah Foundation
