Thorney Country Park
About the park
Thorney Park is a 50 acre site, with a large tranquil lake and nearby pond, which are home to many overwintering birds.
The Park combines woodland, grassland and lake habitats, and is great for bird watching.
Herons, kingfishers, Eurasian blackcaps and Eurasian green woodpeckers have all been seen here. At all times of year, you can see waterfowl on the lake.
