Stoke Poges Country Park is under development and is currently expected to open to the public in late winter 2026.

Internal and external refurbishment works are continuing to progress. These include:
- The internal counter and shelving have been installed, together with a tiled splash back.
- Internal decoration has progressed and the café flooring has been laid and protected while the remaining works continue.
- The fire door and new front door have been fitted.
- The alarm and fire alarm have been fitted.
- The toilet block has been installed on its concrete base.
Planned internal and external works over the next four weeks include:
- Complete the café building works.
Landscaping and pathway works continue across the Country Park. These include:
- Finishing works to the perimeter footpath surface, with surrounding areas now being prepared for grass seeding.
- Play area site preparation for installation.
- The former concrete access ramp (a temporary specialised access put in place for the heavy lorries coming to site) across Muddy Lane has been removed.
Planned works over the next four weeks include;
- Contractors on site week commencing 5 October to commence installation of the play area.
- Conclude discussions with Highways on detail of the entrance layout.
- Continuing landscaping and external finishing works, including further planting and seeding.
About the park
Built on the site of the former Lanes Golf Academy, the new 59-acre country park will feature a café, play area, walks and trails with a hill viewpoint across the surrounding landscape across to Windsor Castle.
Final planting, seeding and path construction along with the refurbishment of the on-site building into a café will take place during 2026. A new play area will be supplied and installed by HAGS Play.
This site will be a major asset for families, dog walkers, nature lovers and residents across South Buckinghamshire and the surrounding towns.
Please note: Residents should be aware that, as this is an entirely newly created landscape, it will take some time to establish and mature, and the site will evolve progressively over the coming years as planting becomes established.
