Catering Lease Tender Opportunity
Buckinghamshire Council's Country Parks Team are now open to expressions of interest for the running of the newly refurbished cafe at Stoke Poges Country Park. The 5-year lease is expected to start autumn/winter 2026/7 once the new country park is open to the public.

Works in the Park-Progress Update
Stoke Poges Country Park is under development and is currently expected to open autumn 2026.
Refurbishment works on the café building remain on schedule.
- Internal block walls have been installed
- Internal walls have been plaster boarded and plastering completed.
- First fix electrical works have been completed.
- The external door has been installed.
- External painting has been finished, with just the shutters to be painted.
- Foundations have been dug and cast for the toilet block, the bin store and the delivery store.
- Foul pipe and services trench works are underway.
Landscaping and work on the pathways:
- Top soil spreading over the sub-soil areas, and rolling (to create smooth maintainable grassed surface) continues across the site.
- The main footpath topping has started.
- Access works from Muddy Lane are being refined and sculpted.
Four Week Look Ahead
Refurbishment works on the café building continue, with the second fix mechanical and electrical works starting.
The internal server counter for the café is due to be delivered.
Internal decoration is due to commence.
Flooring and toilet cubicle works are due to start.
Please note: Given the prolonged dry conditions and the limited planting window available earlier this year, further planting and seeding will not take place until conditions are more suitable. The immediate focus remains on delivering the core infrastructure, including the perimeter pathway. Residents should be aware that, as this is an entirely newly created landscape, it will take some time to establish and mature, and the site will evolve progressively over the coming years as planting becomes established.
